Program Activities

The CTC program runs throughout the year!

Trips are organized on a yearly basis and may change year to year. For the 2013-14 year we have already confirmed Race of the Dead, multiple Chicago based learn-to-row events, and riverside clean up.

As more events are confirmed we will list them on our calendar.

Summer Camp

The Chicago Training Center offers a free Learn-to-Row session over the summer at our Bridgeport facility (2810 S. Eleanor Street, Chicago, IL 60608).

The Learn-to-Row program is open to any Chicago Area middle or high school student, boys and girls alike, and does not require any special athletic ability or talent. Read More

Team Building

CTC engages in multiple team building exercises throughout the year. Specific events are UNO’s Race of the Dead (fall) and Iron Oaks High Ropes Course (spring).

Academic Help

Our college counselor, Ms. Rhonda Bell, works with each teen one-on-one to oversee the various mile markers one needs to complete in order to fully take advantage of our program and the colleges you want to go to. Information covered includes (but not limited to) HS course work options, financial aid planning, extra-curricular utilization, and extra out-of-school options / scholarships that will help reach post high school goals.

Our programs and activities could not thrive without the help of volunteers, and for that, we are very grateful to our community of supporters.
