CTC Logo CTC Program Applicants
The Chicago Training Center (CTC) offers competitive rowing and sculling training to Chicago Public School (CPS) high school students. Programs are available for boys and girls.

No prior training or experience with rowing or boating is required. Program applicants do not need to know how to swim, though they will be taught to swim well enough to pass a USRowing qualified swim test.

There are no height requirements. Physical requirements include the ability to carry a 30lb. weight overhead for two minutes. Other eligibility requirements are available in the CTC Application Packet.

There are no application or program fees, in fact stipends may be available to help cover incidental costs. CTC program participants are expected to be accepted as pre-apprentice or apprentice program members by After School Matters (ASM.)
